KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 31): Hong Leong Bank Bhd (KL:HLBANK) and Hong Leong Islamic Bank on Friday announced a comprehensive flood relief assistance programme to support customers in Sabah and Sarawak affected by the recent floods.

In a statement, the banks said the initiative offers up to six months of payment deferment on loans, financing facilities, and credit cards for impacted individuals, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and micro-enterprises.

Additionally, the banks are providing free replacements for bank-related documents, including debit and credit cards, cheques, and bank statements damaged or lost in the floods.

For existing SME and micro-enterprise customers, additional financing will be available to those needing working capital to aid in their business recovery, said the banks.

Affected customers can apply by submitting their name, IC number, account number, contact details, flood-affected address, and a photo of their situation.

“Customers can request for the flood relief assistance by calling (03) 7959 1888, email: CollsCustomerFeedback@hlbb.hongleong.com.my, or visit the nearest HLB/HLISB branch for assistance. SME and corporate customers are encouraged to contact their relationship managers for assistance,” said the banks.
