RHB and AmBank offer flood relief assistance for affected customers in Sabah and Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 31): RHB Banking Group (KL:RHBBANK) and AMMB Holdings Bhd (KL:AMBANK) have announced flood relief assistance programmes for individuals and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) impacted by the recent floods and heavy rainfall in Sabah and Sarawak.

The initiative, available until February 2025, aims to alleviate the financial burden on affected customers.  

RHB’s offerings include payment deferments of up to six months for mortgages, personal loans, and other financing facilities, as well as fee waivers on late charges and card replacements.   

In addition, RHB is providing on-the-ground community support to aid flood victims in their recovery efforts. 

For SME customers in Sabah and Sarawak, RHB is offering similar payment relief options and a disaster relief facility (DRF), providing financing up to RM700,000 to assist with business recovery. 

Meanwhile, AmBank is offering a moratorium of up to six months on monthly financing and waivers for incidental fees such as passbooks, cheque books, and card replacements.
