KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 21): Southern Score Builders Bhd (KL:SSB8) has won a RM40 million subcontract for electrical works at a data centre project in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
According to a bourse filing, Southern Score Builders said the letter of award was given to its 51%-owned subsidiary SJEE Engineering Sdn Bhd from an unnamed local construction company on Monday.
SJEE will be responsible for the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical works, as well as maintenance and warranty services.
Work began on April 1 and is expected to be completed on April 20 next year.
This is Southern Score Builders' fifth contract win related to data centres this year, bringing their total contract value so far to an estimated RM528.02 million.
Southern Score Builders said the contract is expected to contribute to the group's earnings and net assets for the financial year ending June 30, 2027.
Shares of Southern Score Builders were up by 1.5 sen or 2.4% to 63 sen on Monday’s closing, giving the group a market value of RM1.43 billion.
