KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): Southern Score Builders Bhd (KL:SSB8) has secured another subcontract for a data centre, this time worth RM105 million in Puncak Alam, Selangor.
Its 51%-owned subsidiary, SJEE Engineering Sdn Bhd, on Wednesday accepted a letter of award from an unnamed local construction company to undertake the data centre project described as “Electrical Package #3 (MV02 & MV03)”, Southern Score said in a bourse filing.
The remaining 49% in SJEE Engineering is owned by engineer-turned-businessman Ngo Hea Bing.
The latest contract marks the second data centre job secured by SJEE Engineering in less than a week, after bagging a RM146.53 million subcontract for Electrical Package 3 Works (MV) on Aug 6. Details and location of that job, also secured from an undisclosed local construction company, were not revealed.
The subsidiary also secured two electrical system contracts for data centres worth a combined RM189 million in March, followed by another RM47.52 million data centre infrastructure subcontract in May.
The latest project commenced on July 21, 2026 and is expected to be completed by Oct 14, 2027.
Southern Score’s share price closed half a sen or 0.9% higher at 56 sen on Wednesday, giving the group a market value of RM1.27 billion.
