KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 8): The King, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, on Saturday decreed that the investigation into the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the Tabung Haji (TH) Board be carried out exhaustively.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim's official Facebook page, the King said the move is important to ensure that all parties responsible are appropriately dealt with, as well as to ensure that the same thing does not happen again in the future.

In addition, Sultan Ibrahim also said that the investigation into the matter should be carried out comprehensively, without compromising on any party found guilty.

"No one should escape action if they are truly found guilty. Most importantly, things like this must not happen again," the King said.

Earlier, the King granted an audience to Prime Minister Seri Anwar Ibrahim for a meeting that lasted more than an hour at Istana Bukit Tunku on Saturday.

In the meeting, Sultan Ibrahim was briefed on the contents of the TH RCI report, as well as current issues involving the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda).

The RCI report, which was published on July 29, revealed various important findings related to the management and governance of the institution for the period 2014 to 2020.

A special sitting of the Dewan Rakyat will be held on Aug 11 to debate the report.
