KUALA LUMPUR (March 24): Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd (KL:DAYANG) said the group has secured three work orders from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of accommodation workboat vessels.

The contracts, awarded to its subsidiary DESB Marine Services Sdn Bhd, involve the deployment of three vessels, each with a service duration of over 1,000 days and an optional extension period of up to 829 days, said the Sarawak-based oil and gas (O&G) services group.

The total contract value will be determined based on work orders issued by Petronas Carigali during the contract period, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

EPF reemerges as substantial shareholder

A separate filing on Monday showed that the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has reemerged as a substantial shareholder in Dayang, after raising its shareholding to 59.73 million shares, representing a 5.16% stake.

The pension fund's shareholding rose via the acquisition of 2.52 million Dayang shares in the open market on March 19, according to the filing.

EPF had initially ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Dayang in February 2024, when its shareholding dropped to 55.39 million shares.

Dayang's largest shareholder is diversified group Naim Holdings Bhd (KL:NAIM), which owns a 24.22% stake in the group, followed by Dayang founder and deputy chairman Datuk Ling Suk Kiong with a 7.21% stake, while EPF is now the third largest shareholder.

Dayang’s shares closed two sen or 1.02% lower at RM1.95 on Monday, giving the Main Market-listed group a market capitalisation of RM2.26 billion.
