KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 17): Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din has been reappointed chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the commission confirmed with The Edge.
The reappointment was made on Monday by Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil for a two-year period effective March 1, 2025, a news portal had separately reported.
Mohamad Salim, 66, is also executive vice-chairman of Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (KL:MRCB). He served as a member of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s consultation and corruption prevention panel from 2022 to 2024. In November, he was appointed adjunct professor at the Multimedia University.
He was first appointed to chair MCMC for a two-year period from March 1, 2023 to Feb 29, 2025.
