KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 30): Industrial construction and automated logistics company PTT Synergy Group Bhd (KL:PTT) is acquiring four parcels of land with a combined area of 8,778 square metres in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang for RM32 million in cash.
PTT Synergy is buying the freehold industrial properties from Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP), according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
Each parcel comes with a detached factory, either already built or to be built, PTT Synergy said. The group intends to use the properties for its business operations and to accommodate future expansion.
The acquisition will be funded through bank borrowings and is expected to be completed within 36 months, PTT Synergy said.
This is PTT Synergy’s second land acquisition this month. On Sept 11, the group acquired a 3.925-hectare parcel of freehold land in Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang, for RM62.53 million.
Shares in PTT Synergy rose seven sen or nearly 5% to settle at RM1.52 on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM725.6 million.
