KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 28): KKB Engineering Bhd (KL:KKB) said on Monday that it has secured RM462 million contracts from Sarawak Shell Bhd and two other companies.
According to a bourse filing on Monday, KKB said its unit OceanMight Sdn Bhd received a letter of award from Sarawak Shell for the provision of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of fixed offshore structure works for the SK408 Teja & Populus (TePu) and Temu & Inai (TuNai) field development project.
The engineering group also received supply orders from Hock Seng Lee Bhd and Bumia Sdn Bhd.
It added that the contract with Sarawak Shell runs from Aug 28, 2026 to December 2027, while delivery for the supply orders for the two firms are scheduled to be completed within 4Q2026.
KKB expects the contract and orders to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of the company and group over their duration.
This is KKB’s fourth job since the beginning of the year. The Sarawak-based steel fabrication and engineering group previously landed two contracts worth around RM19 million for pipe and steel pole supplies, as well as a RM212 million EPC contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
Furthermore, it secured six additional contracts valued at a combined RM80 million to supply steel pipes, fittings, poles and galvanised structural poles.
KKB shares ended six sen higher or 5.56% at RM1.14 on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM330 million.
