KUALA LUMPUR (March 6): KKB Engineering Bhd (KL:KKB) said it has secured two contracts worth about RM19 million for the supply of pipes and steel poles.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, the group said it received a purchase order from Belianemas Synergy Sdn Bhd to supply Mild Steel Cement Lined (MSCL) pipes and pipe specials.

It also received a Letter of Award from Sarawak Energy Bhd for the supply and delivery of steel poles and related accessories.

KKB said the purchase order is expected to be delivered in stages and completed by the second half of 2027, while the Sarawak Energy contract will run for two years until 2028, also to be executed in stages.

The group said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets over the supply period.

This marks the third job secured by KKB since the start of the year. The Sarawak-based steel fabrication and engineering group had earlier secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd valued at RM212 million.

It had also secured six contracts worth a combined RM80 million to supply steel pipes, fittings, poles and galvanised structural components.

Shares of KKB fell four sen or 3.3% to RM1.18 ahead of the announcement on Friday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM340.7 million.
