KAJANG (Sept 19): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has issued a notice to former Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim and his family, requiring them to declare their assets within a month.

Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said MACC served the notice on Abdul Azeez and his family members, including his children, this week in accordance with the law.

“Specific forms have been provided to them to declare and report their assets to MACC, and they have one month to complete the process,” he said at a press conference here on Saturday.

Abdul Azeez was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Sept 9 under Section 23 of the MACC Act.

The anti-corruption body has charged six individuals over eight issues arising from its investigation into the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into TH, while five other investigation papers remain ongoing.
