KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 18): Engineering and infrastructure specialist Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (KL:JTGROUP) has won a RM72.84 million contract to design and build a high-voltage 275kV cable connection to a data centre's landing station in Banting Technology Park, Selangor.

This marks Jati Tinggi’s third contract win in the last 30 days.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday, the group said its wholly-owned Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd accepted the Letter of Award for the project from an undisclosed customer on Sept 18. The contract, in effect upon acceptance, is scheduled to conclude on Jan 15, 2027.

The customer is incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 2016 and is primarily involved in computer consultancy, data processing, provision of infrastructure for hosting, data processing services and related activities, Jati Tinggi said.

The scope of works covers the full engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of two 275kV underground power circuits and 275kV overhead line cables, together with transmission towers and associated works.

These will form the critical power link to the consumer landing station for the new data centre at Banting Technology Park.

Jati Tinggi just secured two contracts last month — one was a RM69.49 million job from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA) to build power transmission infrastructure in Tumpat, Kelantan, and the other was a RM69.16 million deal to undertake 33kV interim power infrastructure works for a data centre, also at the Banting Technology Park (BTP).

Shares of Jati Tinggi closed half a sen or 5.15% higher at RM1.02 on Friday, valuing the group at RM451.8 million. The stock has jumped 50% year to date.
