KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 18): Vestland Bhd (KL:VLB) has secured a job worth RM107.61 million to undertake slope mitigation and related works at a reservoir catchment area in Terengganu.

The contract awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary Vestland Infra Sdn Bhd will begin in October and be completed by May 2029, the construction and civil engineering firm said in a bourse filing on Friday.

“This contract further strengthens Vestland’s presence in the infrastructure sector and reflects our continued progress in expanding our civil engineering portfolio,” joint managing director Datuk Seri Justin Soo Sze Ching said in a statement.

The latest win is Vestland’s third in September. Earlier this month, the company secured a RM410 million contract for construction works on a mixed-use development on Jalan Ampang as well as a contract valued at RM263.73 million for flood mitigation works along Sungai Golok in Kelantan.

Vestland has secured eight new major contracts year to date with a combined value of RM1.6 billion, lifting the total outstanding order book to RM2 billion.

Shares of Vestland ended 1.5 sen or 1.7% lower at 88 sen on Friday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM914 million ahead of the contract announcement.
