<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Saravanan, 58, arrived at 8.26am accompanied by his officers and is expected to face charges relating to the quota for the recruitment of foreign workers under Section 16 of the MACC Act 2009, which pertains to soliciting, receiving, giving, promising or offering bribes.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Members of the media and the politician’s supporters were seen at the court complex grounds as early as 7.45am to follow developments in the case.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>A check of the court system showed that the case against Saravanan will be mentioned before Sessions Court judge Azura Alwi at 9am.</p></div>
