KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 26): Zetrix AI Bhd (KL:ZETRIX), formerly MyEG Services Bhd, has partnered with the organiser of the annual Miss Universe beauty pageant, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), to develop the pageant’s first global blockchain voting app.
The app also features artificial intelligence (AI) companions based on Miss Universe contestants, giving fans a fun and unique way to connect with the women, their causes, and cultures.
The app will be available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store ahead of the 74th Miss Universe competition on Nov 21 in Bangkok, which will feature contestants from over 130 countries.
“This partnership ensures that fans around the world can enjoy trusted and interactive voting for the first time in Miss Universe's history (73 years),” Zetrix AI co-founder Datuk Fadzli Shah said in a statement.
Fadzli said the company had earlier piloted the app with Miss Universe pageants in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong before bringing it to the global stage.
MUO president Raúl Rocha Cantú said the blockchain app aims to ensure transparency and inclusivity in fan voting.
“Whether you are in Mexico City, Manila, Lagos or Jakarta, your voice matters, and now your vote does too — with absolute transparency and trust,” he said.
At the time of writing on Friday, shares in Zetrix AI were traded one sen or 1.17% higher at 86.5 sen, valuing the group at RM6.8 billion.
