KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 15): Perdana Petroleum Bhd (KL:PERDANA) has secured a RM7.3 million contract for the charter of an anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessel.
In a bourse filing on Tuesday, Perdana said it signed the charter party agreement on Aug 30, with an addendum finalised on Oct 10, with RUHM Marine Sdn Bhd, for the deal.
The company said it will provide the AHTS vessel, complete with crew and equipment, for continuous 24-hour service. The vessel will assist and support operations related to drilling rigs, offshore installations, derrick barges, towing, and anchor handling in the Sarawak region.
Perdana said the contract is expected to positively contribute to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2024.
Last week, Perdana secured two additional work orders worth a combined RM19.1 million for the provision of two accommodation workboats. The work order is a related party transaction, as Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd (KL:DAYANG), which holds a 63.59% stake in Perdana, is the controlling shareholder.
Shares in Perdana closed two sen or 6.67% higher at 28 sen on Tuesday, valuing the company at RM623.57 million. The stock has risen over 40% year-to-date.
