KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): Perdana Petroleum Bhd (KL:PERDANA) has bagged two work orders worth a combined RM19.1 million for the provision of two units of accommodation workboat.
In a bourse filing, Perdana Petroleum said its wholly-owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB) accepted the work order from DESN Marine Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd (KL:DAYANG).
The work order is a related party transaction as Dayang is the controlling shareholder of Perdana Petroleum, with a 63.59% stake in the company as at April 5, 2024.
Both work orders commenced on Aug 1, 2024.
The first contract worth RM13.3 million has a tenure of 153 days, while the second contract is valued at RM5.8 million with a duration of 61 days.
Under the work orders, PNSB shall provide the accommodation workboat with crews and equipment to perform 24-hour services for assisting and servicing drilling rigs, offshore installation, derrick barges, towing and anchor jobs.
The work orders are anticipated to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings.
The share price of Perdana Petroleum closed unchanged at 31 sen, bringing the group a market capitalisation of RM690 million.
