KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 14): Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd has secured two more contract extensions from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of two accommodation work boats, namely Dayang Ruby and Dayang Opal.
Value of the extensions, secured via its wholly-owned unit DESB Marine Services Sdn Bhd, was not given in its Wednesday bourse filing as they would be based on work orders issued by Petronas Carigali.
Dayang Ruby's contract was extended for 203 days, starting from Nov 11, 2023, while Dayang Opal's was extended for 270 days from Nov 5, 2023.
In addition to the three contract extensions it announced on Tuesday, Dayang has secured contract extensions for five accommodation work boats from Petronas Carigali.
The three contract extensions it secured previously were for Dayang Zamrud (for 279 days from Oct 27, 2023), Dayang Pertama (for 296 days from Oct 10) and Dayang Berlian (for 281 days from Oct 25).
Dayang posted its best quarterly net profit in about three years for the three months ended Sept 30, 2023, with a net profit of RM76.38 million, as revenue rose to RM343.76 million against RM338.34 million.
For the cumulative nine months ended Sept 30, 2023, Dayang’s net profit rose 15.13% to RM125.13 million from RM108.68 million a year earlier, while revenue grew to RM761.91 million from RM761.89 million.
Dayang shares closed three sen or 1.42% lower to RM2.09 on Wednesday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.42 billion.
