KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 13): Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd said its wholly owned DESB Marine Services Sdn Bhd has secured contract extensions for the supply of three accommodation work boats to Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

The values of the extensions are based on work orders issued by Petronas Carigali throughout the duration of the extended contracts, the Sarawak-based oil and gas services provider told Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday.

The Dayang Zamrud vessel’s contract extension spans 279 days from the commencement date on Oct 27, 2023. Meanwhile, the extensions for the Dayang Pertama and Dayang Berlian vessels began on Oct 10 and Oct 25 respectively, with durations of 296 days and 281 days.

Dayang clinched the contract to supply the Dayang Zamrud vessel on Feb 27 last year. Subsequently, it was awarded the contract for the Dayang Berlian vessel on March 21, followed by the contract for Dayang Pertama on April 6.

For the cumulative nine months ended Sept 30, 2023, Dayang’s net profit rose 15.13% to RM125.13 million from RM108.68 million a year earlier, while revenue increased slightly to RM761.91 million from RM761.89 million.

Shares of Dayang closed one sen or 0.47% higher at RM2.12 on Tuesday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.45 billion.
