SINGAPORE (Sept 12): Singapore Telecommunications has announced changes to its organisation structure and leadership team.
Among the changes, which take effect from Oct 1, Allen Lew, current CEO of SingTel’s Group Digital L!fe unit, will become CEO of Optus and be based in Australia.
Paul O’Sullivan, the current head of SingTel’s Australian unit, will become chairman of Optus.
Bill Chang will be appointed country chief officer for Singapore, where he will be the main liaison with local and regulatory bodies. He will remain as CEO of Group Enterprise.
Chief financial officer Jeann Low’s duties will be expanded to include responsibilities for group strategy and group general counsel.
Jonathan Auerbach, a new addition to SingTel’s leadership team, will take over Lew’s duties at Group Digital L!fe. He joined SingTel from McKinsey & Co.
“We are strengthening our market leadership and increasing our relevance to customers. The restructure combines retention of existing management strength and experience with new leadership talent,” said SingTel group CEO Chua Sock Koong in a statement today.
Shares of SingTel traded at $3.92 at 0253GMT.
