KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 6): Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has announced the resignation of its independent and non-executive director Noor Azri Noor Azerai.
Noor Azri, 23, resigned to pursue his personal interest, the oil and gas services provider said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
He joined Serba Dinamik's board on Nov 25 last year, a day after the group announced that its then chairman Datuk Mohamed Ilyas Pakeer Mohamed and independent director Johan Mohamed Ishak had resigned in protest against requirements imposed on the group by Bursa Malaysia amid audit issues flagged by former external auditor KPMG.
Noor Azri, who is the son of businessman Datuk Seri Noor Azerai Ahmad, also sits on the boards of Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Bhd, Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd and Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd.
Serba Dinamik has been embroiled in an auditing dispute with KPMG after its auditor highlighted discrepancies involving transactions to the tune of RM4.54 billion to the group's independent directors. The issues raised were based on the financial accounts for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020.
The group slipped into Practice Note 17 status in January this year.
Shares of Serba Dinamik closed at two sen on Thursday (Oct 6), giving the group a market value of RM62.12 million.
