KUALA LUMPUR (June 26): Rimbunan Sawit Bhd has appointed Datuk Jin Kee Mou as its chief executive officer (CEO) from July 1, 2015.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the Sarawak-based palm oil producer said Jin, 49, has over 10 years extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in oil palm industries.
"He started his career in engineering consultancy and subsequently obtained his professional qualification in 1996. He joined Jaya Tiasa Holdings Bhd as an engineer in 1995 and facilitates engineering and project management globally," it said.
"He is also actively engaged with business development in Jaya Tiasa Group, especially in the development of oil palm business.
"When Jaya Tiasa Group began diversifying into the oil palm business in 2004, Jin was entrusted to lead the establishment of plantations and crude palm oil mills," added Rimbunan Sawit.
In a separate filing, Rimbunan Sawit said its managing director Tiong Chiong Ong, 57, has been redesignated as the group's non-executive chairman, replacing Bong Wei Leong, 48, who has been redesignated as independent and non-executive director.
The redesignations will take effect from Oct 1, 2015.
Rimbunan Sawit (fundamental : 0.2; valuation: 0.9) shares closed unchanged at 50.5 sen today, with a market capitalisation of RM716.34 million.
