KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 7): Bank Rakyat assures customers that its banking systems and operations continue to function as usual, with personal data, banking information, and deposits remaining safe and unaffected despite temporary access disruptions.
It said in a statement on Saturday that the ongoing access disruption only affects the bank's corporate website and is due to a technical issue with a third-party service provider's system.
While the recovery of corporate website access is being carried out, customers can continue to conduct banking transactions as usual through alternative channels such as the iRakyat website, the iRakyat mobile banking app, BRICK, QR2E, and the i-bizRAKYAT business banking portal.
"We apologise for the inconvenience experienced and appreciate your patience. Any further developments regarding this matter will be communicated from time to time," read the statement, adding that the safety and interests of its customers are always a priority.
On Friday, Bank Rakyat’s corporate portal was reported to have experienced temporary access disruptions, therefore customers were advised to use alternative digital channels and mobile applications to continue their banking transactions.
