KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 6): Software company Microlink Solutions Bhd (KL:MICROLN) has secured a 12-month extension worth RM59.58 million for its contract to provide the advance passenger screening system (APS) for the Immigration Department.

The original contract was awarded in November 2024 for RM83.51 million, including sales and service tax (SST). The latest extension brings the total contract value to RM137.92 million, excluding SST.

Microlink’s wholly owned subsidiary Microlink Systems Sdn Bhd accepted the extension through a letter received on Friday from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the group’s bourse filing showed.

The 12-month extension covers the period from Nov 6, 2026 to Nov 5, 2027, bringing the total contract duration to 36 months.

Under the extension, the additional scope covers continued application services for the onboarding of additional airlines, infrastructure services, software licence renewals, as well as support and maintenance services for the APS system.

A supplementary agreement will be signed between the ministry and Microlink Systems to formalise the extension. Under the contract terms, the subsidiary is required to provide a performance bond.

Microlink’s share price closed down 1.5 sen or 18.75% to 6.5 sen on Friday, trimming the company’s market capitalisation to RM105 million.
