KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): Kee Ming Group Bhd (KL:KEEMING) on Wednesday said it has secured a RM44.17 million subcontract to undertake electrical engineering service works for a hyperscale data centre in Puncak Alam.
In a bourse filing, the group said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kee Ming Electrical Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award on Wednesday from an undisclosed third-party contractor.
The contractor, meanwhile, is principally involved in providing integrated mechanical and electrical solutions, with expertise in electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), energy optimisation, and turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services for data centre infrastructure.
The works, which have already started, are expected to be completed by July 30, 2027.
Kee Ming said the works include the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of general electrical works as well as electrical works for the project's main building.
The project is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings, earnings per share and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2027 and throughout the duration of the contract.
Shares of Kee Ming, which made its ACE Market debut on Feb 12 at an IPO price of 38 sen, have since surged more than sixfold. On Wednesday, the stock closed one sen or 0.36% lower at RM2.79, valuing the company at RM906.8 million.
