KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): Binastra Corporation Bhd (KL:BNASTRA) has secured a RM303.8 million contract from PTT Synergy Group Bhd (KL:PTT) to build an automated warehouse facility in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, Selangor.

The contract brings Binastra's year-to-date contract wins for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2027 (FY2027) to RM1.6 billion, lifting its outstanding order book to RM6.2 billion.

In a bourse filing, the group said its wholly-owned subsidiary Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from PTT Synexis Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTT Synergy.

The fixed-price contract covers piling, main building construction and external works for the industrial warehouse development, comprising a single-storey automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) warehouse with a mezzanine floor and a three-storey office building.

The development also includes supporting facilities such as two two-storey mechanical and electrical buildings, two guard houses, two refuse chambers, an electrical substation, a five-storey car park and a temporary container yard depot.

Construction is scheduled to commence on Nov 11, 2026 and to be completed by Sept 30, 2027.

Binastra managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng said the contract marked the group's first automated warehouse project for PTT Synergy and its expansion into specialised industrial infrastructure.

“We see this as an exciting new opportunity for the group and intend to actively explore further opportunities in industrial and technology-driven construction as we continue to diversify our project portfolio,” he said in a separate statement.

Binastra shares closed one sen or 0.37% higher at RM2.70 on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM2.96 billion. The counter has risen over 23% over the past one year.
