KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Theta Edge Bhd (KL:THETA) said it has secured a RM33.01 million contract to be the exclusive supplier of up to 5,742 laptops and desktop computers to an IT solutions company.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday, Theta Edge said its wholly owned subsidiary, Theta Technologies Sdn Bhd, will supply the computers to Aceteam Networks Sdn Bhd under a "device as a service" project, which involves providing and managing computer equipment throughout its lifecycle.
Under the agreement, Theta Technologies will be the exclusive supplier of new laptops and desktop computers to Aceteam, with deliveries to be made according to agreed purchase orders.
The contract will begin with the first delivery and remain in effect for five years from the completion of user acceptance testing, unless terminated earlier.
Aceteam is involved in cyber security, cloud computing, data networking and hardware supply, and its customers are government agencies, government-linked companies and businesses across various industries.
Theta Edge said the contract would allow the company to expand its computer hardware supply business and generate additional revenue.
The contract, it added, is expected to contribute positively to its earnings over five financial years, beginning with the financial year ending Dec 31, 2027.
The project will be financed through internally generated funds and borrowings.
