MELAKA (Oct 31): The nomination process for the 16th Melaka state election on Saturday drew political leaders from various parties, including Wanita DAP chief Teo Nie Ching, who turned out to lend support to their respective candidates.
The deputy communications minister was at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Padang Temu here to support the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Bandar Hilir (N.22) state seat, Leng Chau Yen, who arrived at the nomination centre at 9am.
Meanwhile, Barisan Nasional candidate Jasmine Lok was accompanied by MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng.

The grounds of SMK Padang Temu turned into a sea of blue, red and yellow as supporters gathered near the entrance, waving their respective party flags, while clear skies in the morning provided favourable conditions for a smooth start to the nomination process.
