KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 30): Advance Information Marketing Bhd (KL:AIM) has been flagged by its external auditors again over its ability to continue operating, as the company remains loss-making for the 11th straight year and its liabilities exceed its assets.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday, the ACE Market-listed company said auditors Daxin KF&C PLT highlighted a "material uncertainty related to going concern" in its audited financial statements for the financial year ended June 30,2026 (FY2026).
AIM recorded a net loss of RM819,648 for FY2026, while current liabilities exceeded current assets by RM893,296. Its total liabilities also surpassed total assets by RM573,661.
These conditions cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue operating and meet its financial obligations, although the auditors did not modify their audit opinion.
This is the second consecutive year AIM's survivability is in doubt.
In November 2025, its then auditors, SBY Partners PLT, raised similar concerns after the company recorded a net loss and its liabilities exceeded its assets. At the time, its current liabilities exceeded current assets by RM617,645, while total liabilities surpassed total assets by RM40,481.
To address its financial difficulties, AIM said its pursuing several initiatives, including a proposed collaboration with China’s Beijing ZhenHealth Technology Co Ltd to explore introducing AI-powered diabetic eye screening in Malaysia.
The group also plans to improve the profitability of its pharmacy business by focusing on higher-margin house-brand healthcare and wellness products, while exploring the introduction of healthcare screening services.
AIM said it would continue monitoring operating costs, cash flow and funding requirements to strengthen its financial position.
However, the company cautioned that these initiatives would be implemented progressively, depending on commercial arrangements and available funding, with no assurance that the intended outcomes would be achieved.
AIM has remained in the red since FY2016.
Shares of AIM closed unchanged at 5 sen on Friday, valuing the group at RM25 million.
