KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 28): Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (KL:JTGROUP) on Wednesday reported a more than two-fold increase in quarterly net profit from a year earlier, driven by higher revenue from power infrastructure and underground cable projects, particularly those linked to data centres.

Net profit for the third financial quarter ended Aug 31, 2026 (3QFY2026) rose to RM8.01 million from RM3.18 million, while revenue nearly tripled to RM156.05 million from RM52.96 million, according to the group's filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Jati Tinggi attributed the stronger performance to higher contributions from its substation engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) business, as well as underground utilities engineering services.

Major revenue contributors included a 275kV bulk power supply connection for a data centre in Johor, underground cable relocation works at Bandar Sri Pinang, and power infrastructure projects in Cyberjaya and Pasir Gudang.

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue jumped 77.74% from RM87.8 million in 2QFY2026, mainly due to increased project activities and progress.

However, net profit declined from RM9.85 million in the preceding quarter as the group undertook more projects with lower profit margins. The previous quarter also benefitted from a RM2.31 million gain arising from its acquisition of a controlling stake in Roflex Pipe Sdn Bhd.

No dividend was declared for the quarter.

For the first nine months of FY2026, net profit more than tripled to RM18.96 million from RM5.86 million, while revenue surged to RM318.29 million from RM110.15 million.

Looking ahead, Jati Tinggi said it remains optimistic about its prospects, supported by continued demand for power infrastructure and data centre-related projects.

The group secured RM907.13 million worth of projects, including joint venture contracts, between December 2025 and Oct 22, 2026.

Its outstanding order book stood at RM1.4 billion as at Oct 22, providing earnings visibility for the next two to three financial years, said Jati Tinggi.

Among its recent wins was a RM30.1 million contract secured earlier this month to build power infrastructure for a data centre in Kulai, Johor.

Separately, Jati Tinggi said its wholly owned subsidiary, Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, received two additional letters of award worth RM2.25 million from Public Bank Bhd (KL:PBBANK) for solar panel installation works, bringing the total contract value awarded under the project to RM10.06 million.

Jati Tinggi shares closed one sen or 0.78% higher at RM1.29 on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM571.4 million.
