KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 28): Magma Kiara Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Bursa Malaysia-listed Magma Group Bhd (KL:MAGMA), has signed a memorandum of collaboration (MOC) with interior fit-out specialist Jalex Sdn Bhd at the Wolo Experience Lounge in Bukit Bintang, to explore its proposed appointment as hotel interior adviser for Wolo Hotel & Residences, Mont Kiara KL, according to a press statement issued on Oct 28. 

The approximately RM850 million mixed-use development comprises 378 private residences, 98 serviced residences, a 63-room boutique hotel and retail spaces.

Located along Persiaran Dutamas, the 60-storey development will feature the boutique hotel across Levels 49 to 56, which will be affiliated with Design Hotels and participate in Marriott Bonvoy® upon opening.

Construction of the project is currently underway, with completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2030.

Under the non-binding MOC, Jalex may advise on hotel interior design coordination, material selections, and furniture, fixtures and equipment while working alongside appointed designers, consultants and contractors.

Jalex, established in 1988, is an interior fit-out specialist with a portfolio of 88 hotel projects, including four hotels recognised in Malaysia's 2026 MICHELIN Key selection, as well as the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur and The Conrad Hotel.
