KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 27): Technology solutions provider Infomina Bhd (KL:INFOM) has secured a RM32.11 million contract from the Home Ministry to provide maintenance and technical support services for the National Registration Department's (JPN) core application systems.
In a bourse filing on Tuesday, Infomina said it had accepted the letter of acceptance from the ministry for the 24-month contract, which will run from Nov 1, 2026 to Oct 31, 2028.
The contract covers maintenance and technical support for JPN's core application systems (Sistem Aplikasi Utama) on a performance-based basis.
Its scope includes system maintenance, technical support, data and file management, user training, technical courses and review workshops.
Any renewal or extension beyond the contract period will be at the ministry's discretion.
Infomina chief executive officer and managing director Yee Chee Meng said the contract builds on the group's track record in supporting mission-critical technology systems within Malaysia's public sector.
"Beyond providing system maintenance and technical support, our scope also encompasses data and file management, user training, technical courses and review workshops," he said in a separate statement.
"These services will allow us to leverage our technical expertise to support the reliability and operational effectiveness of JPN's core application systems throughout the contract period."
Yee said the group would continue pursuing opportunities in the public and private sectors, including in applications, cloud computing, data, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and managed services.
In November 2025, Infomina secured a similar but separate contract from the Home Ministry worth RM66.13 million to provide technology infrastructure operations, maintenance and support services for JPN.
The two contracts cover different components of JPN's technology systems.
The earlier 36-month contract, which runs from Nov 17, 2025 to Nov 16, 2028, covers comprehensive maintenance of JPN's core system operation infrastructure and green data centre, including preventive maintenance, software licence renewals, onsite operations and disaster recovery services.
Infomina also secured several similar government contracts over the past year, including a RM21.13 million contract from the Road Transport Department (JPJ) in July to provide maintenance and technical support for its information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and networking hardware across more than 170 branches nationwide.
The three-year contract runs from Aug 1, 2026 to July 31, 2029.
In April, the group bagged a two-year RM23.49 million contract from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) for hardware and software maintenance services covering its data warehouse systems.
A month earlier, Infomina secured another Home Ministry contract worth RM68.92 million to maintain the Immigration Department's data centre and computer systems over three years, from March 25, 2026 to March 24, 2029.
For the first financial quarter ended Aug 31, 2026 (1QFY2027), Infomina reported a 26.76% increase in net profit to RM10.30 million from RM8.13 million a year earlier, driven by higher contributions from its technology infrastructure operations, maintenance and support services segment.
Quarterly revenue rose 39.6% to RM76.19 million from RM54.63 million, while its newly reported AI solutions and data business services segment contributed RM8.4 million, accounting for about 11% of total revenue.
As at end-August, the group's order book stood at RM614.2 million.
Shares of Infomina closed up five sen or 2.72% at RM1.89 on Tuesday, valuing the group at RM1.14 billion. Year to date, the counter is up 38.97%.
