MELAKA (Oct 27): Pakatan Harapan (PH) will implement a prudent campaign in the Melaka state election (PRN) by explaining the unity government's initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to the rakyat.

Home Minister and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice president Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the successes and welfare initiatives implemented by the government must be conveyed in the best possible way to voters so that they are confident in choosing candidates from PH.

"We do not want to win an election campaign through hurling insults and cursing, we do not want that. That is not PKR's way... we do not want to win elections through instigating conflict and division... let other parties do that if they want to win that way, please go ahead.

"Our politics is different. Our politics is one that invites peace, love, and unity. Only then does politics have value. Only then does politics possess the nature of worship [ibadah]," he said when speaking at the inauguration of the Paya Rumput State Legislative Assembly Operations Room in Krubong here on Monday night.

Also present were Melaka PKR State Leadership Council (MPN) acting chairman Adam Adli Abd Halim and the PH candidate for the Paya Rumput DUN seat, Datuk Azman Abidin.

Saifuddin Nasution stated that among these successes is Malaysia's current standing as the 12th safest country in the world to visit, which proves the government's capability in controlling national security.

In addition, the RM200 schooling assistance for 5.2 million students and pupils nationwide can touch voters' hearts through the welfare agenda implemented by the government.

"If there are three children, [one family gets] RM600 in cash. School uniforms, school shoes, sports attire, school bags, school supplies, insya-Allah, are covered. Parents no longer have to worry.

"The prime minister helps think about [school-related problems] and helps solve them. That is a small example that sticks and is felt by every household because they have school-going children," he said.
