KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 21): Revenue IF Bhd (KL:REVENUE) has partnered with WeSure, a Chinese insurance payments technology company, to develop cross-border payment and digital insurance solutions in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Wednesday, Revenue IF said the partnership with Zhuhai Hengqin WeSure Digital Technology Co Ltd would focus on cross-border payments, payment solutions for the insurance industry, and the development of insurance-related businesses.
The collaboration includes integrating both companies’ systems to support payment processing, clearing and settlement, as well as insurance premium payments and claims disbursements.
Revenue IF said the partnership supports its strategy to expand its payment business and regional presence, combining its payment infrastructure and local expertise with WeSure’s experience in digital insurance.
The agreement is exclusive across the four markets for an initial three years, with automatic one-year renewals. Either party may terminate it with 30 days’ written notice.
However, the agreement is a framework and does not impose binding obligations until definitive agreements are signed. Revenue IF said the financial impact would be determined at that stage.
The agreement is not expected to materially affect the group’s earnings per share, net assets per share or gearing for the financial year ending March 31, 2027.
Revenue IF’s shares closed 6.25% lower to 7.5 sen a share on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM45.4 million.
