KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 19): Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (KL:JTGROUP) said the electrical engineering group has secured a RM30.1 million contract to build power infrastructure for a data centre in Kulai, Johor.

The contract, awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, involves the construction of two circuits of 275kV underground cable ducting works and 11kV temporary power cable works, including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Jati Tinggi did not name the customer in its filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday, saying only that it is a Malaysian company involved in providing infrastructure for hosting, data processing services and related activities.

The contract runs until July 25, 2027, and is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share, Jati Tinggi said.

Earlier this month, the group secured two contracts from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA) worth a combined RM15.7 million for underground cable works in Selangor and a submarine power cable monitoring system in Perlis.

Jati Tinggi’s share price closed one sen or 0.84% higher at RM1.20 on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM531.51 million.
