KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 19): GDB Holdings Bhd (KL:GDB) said on Monday it has secured a RM119 million subcontract involving construction work for the National Flood Forecasting and Warning Programme Phase 3 project in Sarawak.

In a bourse filing, GDB said its wholly-owned subsidiary, GDB Infra Sdn Bhd, received the subcontract from main contractor I-Ilham Corporation Sdn Bhd, with completion scheduled for Nov 29, 2029.

In a separate press statement, the construction group said the project marks the fourth infrastructure contract win in Sarawak, lifting its construction value in the state to RM355.9 million.

GDB executive director and acting group managing director Andy Lai Wee Young said in the statement the contract reflects confidence in the company’s construction expertise and its ability to deliver critical infrastructure. He added that its growing East Malaysian portfolio in roadworks, water treatment and flood forecasting positions the company for further growth.

The company said the latest contract brings its year-to-date wins to RM795.3 million across Peninsular and East Malaysia, keeping it on track to achieve its RM1 billion order book target for FY2026.

As of Oct 13, 2026, the group’s tender book stands at RM4.3 billion, spanning the industrial, data centre, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure and residential sectors.

GDB shares ended 1.5 sen or 3.70% higher at 42 sen on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM433.13 million.
