KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 15): Of the 19 Bursa Malaysia-listed firms dropped by audit firm TGS TW PLT last month, 13 have since announced replacements, with interior design outfit Adnex Group Bhd (KL:ADNEX) being the latest to fill the vacancy.
In a bourse filing on Thursday, Adnex announced the appointment of Nexia SSY PLT as its new auditor, to take effect on Oct 15 after the group received their written consent to the appointment. Nexia SSY will hold office until the conclusion of Adnex's next annual general meeting.
TGS TW had voluntarily resigned as Adnex's auditor on Sept 1, citing an internal portfolio review and resource management considerations — the same reason it provided across a series of exits it made in early September.
Its latest resignation from Zetrix AI Bhd (KL:ZETRIX) on Sept 28, citing the same reason, raised the total of companies affected by its mass departure to 19.
Bourse disclosures indicate that 11 of the 13 who have named replacements have migrated to Messrs Kudos SBC PLT.
The 11 are: HE Group Bhd (KL:HEGROUP), Ramssol Group Bhd (KL:RAMSSOL), TopVision Eye Specialist Bhd (KL:TOPVISN), SBS NExus Bhd (KL:SBS), Hydropipes Bhd (KL:HPI), CBH Engineering Holding Bhd (KL:CBHB), Total Dynamic Holdings Bhd (KL:DYNAMIC), Bentley Music Group Bhd (KL:BENTLEY), Hiap Huat Holdings Bhd (KL:HHHCORP), Baba Eco Group Bhd (KL:BABA) and Milolo Bhd (KL:MILOLO).
Adnex and TSIC Bhd (KL:TSIC) are the two outliers so far, choosing to engage Nexia SSY PLT and Kreston John and Gan, respectively.
Meanwhile, the six companies that have yet to announce a replacement are: Manforce Group Bhd (KL:MFGROUP), Excel Force MSC Bhd (KL:EFORCE), Onetech Solutions Holdings Bhd (KL:1TECH), Associated Air-Pak Industries Bhd (KL:AAI), Verdant Solar Holdings Bhd (KL:VERDANT) and the newest to join the list — Zetrix AI.
