KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 12): Cleanroom services provider iCents Group Holdings Bhd (KL:ICENTS) said it has secured a contract worth RM21.05 million to undertake engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works for the turnkey development of a semiconductor wafer processing facility in Selangor.

The contract was awarded by a Malaysian subsidiary of a US-based company, iCents said in a bourse filing on Monday, without identifying the company.

“This contract represents another meaningful step in strengthening our participation within the semiconductor industry,” iCents managing director Vincent Ong Mum Fei said in a statement.

The semiconductor wafer processing facility will be built in four phases.

Phase 1 is worth RM36.15 million and comprises two stages. The first stage, worth RM21.05 million, has been awarded and is expected to be completed within 18 weeks. The second stage, worth RM15.10 million, iCents said in a statement has been identified in the letter of award but has yet to be formally awarded.

iCents said the project is expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending June 30, 2027 onwards until the project’s completion.

Looking ahead, the group said it remains focused on strengthening its position in high-specification industries, particularly semiconductors, data centres, pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing. It will continue to pursue opportunities in Malaysia and selectively expand its regional presence in Thailand and Indonesia.

iCents shares closed 1.5 sen or 1.75% lower at 83.5 sen, valuing the group at RM417.5 million.
