KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): The government will allocate RM200 million for equipment and training grants to benefit 40,000 recipients in 2027, particularly women.

The funds will be disbursed through the Sejahtera Madani grants and are aimed at helping individuals who have the skills but lack capital to buy equipment to grow their business.

In his Budget 2027 speech, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim cited the example of how equipment assistance had helped a mother in Penang put her sewing skills to use.
