KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): A matching grant of up to RM5,000 will be offered to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) seeking halal certification for the first time.
“Many of our entrepreneurs produce quality products, yet face difficulties in obtaining halal certification and penetrating broader markets,” said Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when tabling Budget 2027 in Parliament on Friday.
The government will also provide RM25,000 grants to strengthen halal MSMEs in sectors such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
