KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): Zetrix AI Bhd (KL:ZETRIX) managing director Wong Thean Soon on Thursday sold more of his shares in the company, bringing his combined direct and indirect stakes to 10.602%, down from last week's 10.97%.
Wong, better known as TS Wong, disposed of 22.73 million shares held by his investment vehicle Asia Internet Holdings Sdn Bhd at 16.2 sen per share in a transaction dated Sept 30, according to filings on Thursday. This gives the transaction an estimated value of RM3.68 million.
Wong’s direct stake remained at 6.107% and his indirect stake stood at 4.495%, or a total shareholding of 837.37 million shares.
His stake once stood at 29.49% before several share disposals since Aug 27 amid volatility in Zetrix AI’s share price. Asia Internet Holdings first ceased to be a substantial shareholder on Sept 22, after disposing of 57 million shares, resulting in its stake falling to 4.87% from 5.53%.
On Aug 28, Zetrix AI shares plunged 50% in heavy trade to 29.5 sen.
On Monday, Zetrix AI said it had completed the payout of its delayed final dividend of 2.89 sen per share for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, to all eligible shareholders. The payout was due on Sept 18 but was postponed twice after an unnamed substantial shareholder obtained an ad-interim injunction from the Kuala Lumpur High Court. However, dividends tied to some affected accounts remain on hold until the legal case is resolved.
The company also announced on Monday that its external auditor, TGS TW PLT, had resigned, citing portfolio rationalisation and resource management. Zetrix AI said it will announce a new auditor.
On Wednesday, Zetrix AI and IPVG Employees Inc agreed to extend to the end of the fourth quarter this year the deadline to complete the acquisition of a 50% stake in Philippines-based MyEG Ventures.
Shares of Zetrix AI were up by half a sen or 3.1% to 16.5 sen on Thursday’s market close, valuing the group at RM1.33 billion.
