KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 30): Exsim Hospitality Bhd (KL:EXSIMHB) said on Wednesday that it has secured three subcontracts worth RM27 million for construction works.

In a bourse filing, the group said its subsidiary Exsim Concepto Sdn Bhd, which specialises in fit-out services for hospitality property assets, was awarded the subcontracts by Taghill Projects Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned unit of Taghill Holdings Bhd (KL:TAGHILL).

The group said the first subcontract, valued at RM5.4 million, is for the supply and installation of aluminium and glazing works in Kuala Lumpur.

The second subcontract, worth RM8.64 million in Pahang, and the third subcontract, amounting to RM12.96 million in  Petaling Jaya, both cover reinforced concrete works.

All the works are expected to be completed by early January 2027.

Exsim Hospitality said the projects are expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets over the duration of the contract.

Two weeks ago, Exsim Hospitality secured RM42.48 million worth of subcontract works from Taghill Projects to supply building services and carry out general building works.

For the financial year ended June 30, 2026, Exsim Hospitality's net profit surged 126% to RM40.75 million from RM18.04 million a year earlier, thanks to expansion of its fit-out business and the scaling up of its hospitality-management operations. Revenue jumped 91.9% to RM281.23 million from RM146.53 million.

As at end-June, the group had cash and bank balances of RM93 million against term loan and short financing of RM99.42 million.

Exsim Hospitality’s shares close half a sen or 1.01% higher at 50 sen on Wednesday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM1.16 billion. The counter has risen more than 85% over the past one year.
