KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 30): VisDynamics Holdings Bhd (KL:VIS) shares on Wednesday opened at 53.5 sen, its highest level since March 2023, after the automated test equipment maker reported a sharp improvement in earnings.

The level is up 11.5 sen or 27.38% from Tuesday’s close of 42 sen.

The counter later pared some of its gains, hovering between 47.5 sen and 53.5 sen. At the closing bell, the stock settled at 50.5 sen, still up 20.24% or 8.5 sen, making it among the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia in both value and percentage.

Some 29.92 million shares have changed hands, placing it among the top 10 most actively traded stocks.

At 50.5 sen, the group had a market capitalisation of RM133 million.

The stock has more than doubled since it started the year at 20 sen.

The buying interest came after VisDynamics returned to profitability in the third quarter ended July 31, 2026 (3QFY2026), posting a net profit of RM3.76 million compared with a net loss of RM2.81 million a year earlier, helped by higher revenue.

Quarterly revenue surged more than tenfold to RM12.35 million from RM1.17 million previously, due to higher machine sales, its bourse filing on Tuesday showed.

The latest quarter's performance was also a sharp improvement from the preceding quarter ended April 30, with revenue rising 91% from RM6.46, while net profit jumped nearly six-fold from RM631,000.

Both quarterly earnings and revenue were highest since 4QFY2022, when it reported a net profit of RM5.45 million and revenue of RM17.42 million.

For the nine months ended July 31, 2026 (9MFY2026), VisDynamics posted a net profit of RM1.33 million, compared with a net loss of RM2.8 million a year earlier, while revenue rose 60% to RM19.71 million from RM12.35 million.

VisDynamics expects “2026 will be a positive and better financial year”, as the semiconductor sector continues to benefit from structural growth areas, particularly artificial intelligence-related investments, data-centre expansion and demand for advanced semiconductor applications.

Prior to this, the company slipped into red in the financial year ended Oct 31, 2024 (FY2024) with an annual net loss of RM7.71 million, compared to earnings of RM2.84 million in FY2023. Its loss narrowed to RM2.13 million in FY2025.
