KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 29): KLK Land Sdn Bhd's newly soft-opened Coalfields Retail Park in Sungai Buloh is scheduled to achieve 100% occupancy by 1Q2027, according to a press statement issued on Tuesday.

The lifestyle retail hub, developed by the property development arm of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KL:KLK), spans 21 acres with approximately one million square feet of gross built-up area.

It serves as the lifestyle destination for the 1,000-acre Bandar Seri Coalfields township, which holds an estimated gross development value of RM5.5 billion.

The 2.5-storey hybrid indoor-outdoor Coalfields Retail Park is integrated with a seven-acre lake park and features a curated mix of over 100 retail, dining, entertainment, wellness, and lifestyle brands.

In the months leading up to 1Q2027, incoming key tenants set to open their doors include Harborland, Serai Ikan Bakar, Circadian (Wellness Hub), Toys"R"Us, Mr DIY, Babyshop, and Anytime Fitness.

KLK Land managing director Lee Wen Ling said: "Our vision is to build townships that add value and this milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to growing alongside the community. We are delighted by the positive response to our soft opening and we truly hope that Coalfields Retail Park will continue to flourish as the heart of the community, while serving the Greater North Klang Valley".

During its soft-opening week from Sept 10 to 16, the retail park recorded over 390,000 visitors, bolstering the group's confidence in achieving its target of five million annual visitors.

To support township connectivity, KLK Land has undertaken infrastructure enhancements, including the progressive widening of access roads along Federal Route 54 towards Sungai Buloh and improved pedestrian pathways.

The developer is also planning a new series of commercial shoplots located near the retail park as the township continues to expand.
