KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 29): Trading in the shares of integrated high-precision engineering and manufacturing firm UMS Integration Ltd (KL:UMSINT) was suspended on Tuesday pending an announcement.
The trading suspension took effect from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday at the company’s request, according to its filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Prior to the suspension, the stock was trading at RM8.61, giving UMS Integration a market capitalisation of RM7.65 billion.
UMS Integration, which is primarily listed on the Singapore Exchange, undertook a secondary listing on Bursa Malaysia in August last year. Its share price traded below RM5 in March before climbing to a record high of RM9.02 on June 22. The counter has more than doubled year-to-date.
In June, UMS Integration announced a RM14.5 million investment to expand its manufacturing footprint in Vietnam, as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the regional semiconductor supply chain.
UMS Integration’s largest shareholder is its founder and chief executive officer Andy Luong, who holds a 14.04% stake, while Catcher Technology Co Ltd owns a 5.12% stake, according to the company’s annual report.
On the financial front, UMS Integration’s net profit surged 89% to S$19.4 million (about RM62 million) in the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2QFY2026), from S$10.3 million (about RM32.92 million) a year earlier.
Quarterly revenue rose 29% year-on-year to S$87.1 million (about RM278.37 million), driven by higher contributions from its semiconductor and aerospace segments.
