KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 23): Aneka Jaringan Holdings Bhd (KL:ANEKA) has won a RM26.2 million contract for the foundation works for a 53‑storey serviced apartment project at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng here.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Wednesday, Aneka Jaringan said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Aneka Jaringan Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award from WDA Architecture Sdn Bhd, acting on behalf of Exsim YKS 54 Sdn Bhd, a member company of property developer Exsim Group.

The contract for earthworks, piling, pile caps, retaining wall and sub‑structure works commenced on Sept 15, is scheduled to conclude on Aug 14, 2028.

The project is expected to contribute positively to Aneka’s earnings and net assets, notably for the financial years ending Aug 31, 2027 (FY2027) and Aug 31, 2028 (FY2028).

The 53‑storey tower comprises 394 serviced apartment units, public facilities, basement and service areas and a retaining wall. It will also include mechanical and electrical (M&E) space, a mailroom and motorcycle parking, public facilities, mechanical car parking, and a strata office unit.

Aneka Jaringan is an engineering and investment holding company, established in 2001, that specialises in foundation and basement construction in Malaysia and Indonesia. Core operations span bored piling, earthworks, retaining wall construction and machinery rental for infrastructure, data centres and building projects.

It debuted on the ACE Market in October 2020.

The group also runs a renewable energy division that undertakes engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, alongside environmental consulting and operations management.

In the third quarter ended May 31, 2026 (3QFY2026), Aneka reported a net loss of RM1.9 million, compared with a net profit of RM738,000 a year earlier. It had attributed the loss to higher material, fuel and transportation costs.

Revenue for the period, however, rose 38.5% to RM68.41 million from RM49.4 million, supported by stronger contributions from its construction segment.

Aneka Jaringan shares closed unchanged at 10.5 sen on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM72.9 million. The stock is 30% down over the past year.
