KUALA LUMPUR: Teleperformance (TP) has expanded its operational footprint in Malaysia with the opening of a new office at Menara IIB in Medini, marking another milestone in the growth of the local Global Business Services (GBS) ecosystem.

According to a press statement on Wednesday, the new operation complements TP’s existing presence in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. The expansion is set to support customer experience, digital operations and revenue services for businesses in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian market.

Situated within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), Menara IIB provides strategic proximity to Singapore, established infrastructure connectivity and a growing commercial environment tailored for regional business operations.

IIB president and chief executive officer Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim welcomed TP to Medini, highlighting that their presence reinforces Medini’s positioning as an end-to-end business hub.

“Companies need more than office space. They need access to talent, business support, residential options for their employees and commercial amenities that support their day-to-day needs. Bringing these elements together is key to creating an environment where businesses can grow for the long term,” Idzham said.

He added that initiatives such as GBS Iskandar@Medini continue to facilitate collaboration among businesses, industry partners and relevant stakeholders to strengthen the local community.

Since 2013, a total of 47 GBS companies have set up operations in Medini, creating approximately 7,200 jobs. The local ecosystem features a range of established firms, including Startek Malaysia, Vistra, Deluxe Games Inc, Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (Etiqa) and Katoen Natie Sdn Bhd.

The growing business concentration in Medini has continued to deepen the local talent pool, strengthen commercial networks and drive demand for regional suppliers along the Johor-Singapore corridor.
