KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 21): Powerwell Holdings Bhd (KL:PWRWELL) said on Monday it has secured two contracts worth RM190.42 million for the supply of low-voltage switchgear and related equipment for a data centre project in Johor.

The electrical equipment manufacturer said its wholly owned unit, Powerwell International Sdn Bhd, will be supplying the equipment to a multinational technology corporation specialising in data centres.

The group did not disclose the name of the corporation in its statement, saying only that it is a returning customer.

It said the contracts, which represent the largest award in Powerwell's history, are expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2027 (FY2027) and FY2028. The deliveries are expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of FY2028.

"The wins bolster Powerwell’s order book, which stood at a healthy RM268.9 million as at end-June 2026, excluding the [two contracts]. Concurrently, the group’s tender pipeline remains exciting, with opportunities spanning the data centre, renewable energy, semiconductor, and infrastructure sectors," added Powerwell.

Powerwell shares ended 10 sen sen, or 9.34% higher, at RM1.16 on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM673.44 million.
