KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 19): Malaysia Airlines won the Best Airline Staff in Asia at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, with its cabin crew placing third in the World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew category.

The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) said in a statement that this victory was thanks to the airline’s focus on services like cabin comforts and cabin crew service delivery. This commitment led to expanded hospitality training and improved in-flight and airport communications.

Additionally, MAG is taking steps to expand its own network and upgrade its fleet, with 29 new aircraft having been received, and plans to build 117 new aircraft by 2035.

This is part of MAG’s Long-Term Business Plan 3.0, which includes placing Malaysia Airlines among the top 10 best airlines in the world by 2030.

The airline also saw strong results in other categories, winning second place for World’s Best Airport Services; reaching 11th in World’s Cleanest Airline; ranking 18th in the World’s Best Business Class Airlines; and placing 21st in the World’s Best Airline category, up from 27th last year.

Malaysia Airlines also retained its 10th place in the Top 10 Best Airlines in Asia.
