KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 11): Citaglobal Bhd (KL:CITAGLB) has secured an RM82.1 million subcontract to design and build a new residential college at Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Bahasa Melayu in Lembah Pantai here.

In a bourse filing on Friday, the civil engineering and infrastructure group said its wholly owned unit had accepted the project's letter of award from the main contractor Purnama Base Sdn Bhd, which is undertaking the project for the Public Works Department.

“This award adds to our secured order book and gives us a clear body of work to deliver over the next two years. Our focus is on execution, delivering safely, responsibly and to the standards expected of us,” Citaglobal executive director and chief operating officer Aimi Aizal Nasharuddin said in a statement.

With the new job — to be completed in 22 months, by June 30, 2028 — Citaglobal said its outstanding order book stands at roughly RM1.5 billion.

The new residential college build will support the accommodation needs of the teacher training institution.

For the 18 months ended June 30, 2026, Citaglobal reported a net profit of RM25.17 million on the back of RM606.22 million in revenue. No comparative figures were available as it had changed the financial year end to June 30 from Dec 31.

Shares in Citaglobal slipped four sen or 3.64% to settle at RM1.06 on Friday, valuing the group at RM586 million. The stock has climbed nearly 12.8% year to date.
